NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
The Wellings of Picton wishes to recognize and celebrate the countless hours of volunteerism that make up the fabric of Prince Edward County.
A recognition luncheon will be held at the Wellings of Picton on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 – for tickets please contact Rachel Henry at 613-707-6552 or email@example.com or visit the Wellings of Picton at 617 Highway 49, Picton.
Nominations are open to those who meet the following criteria:
- 1. Has been engaged in volunteer activities for a minimum of one year to benefit the community within Prince Edward County.
- 2. Those who have received compensation for their time are not eligible.
- 3. Self-nominations are not eligible.
- 4. All nomination criteria must be met, and nominations received on or before the deadline of Friday, March 31st, 2016.
There are four categories to nominate a volunteer; please indicate which category you are nominating:
Wellings Community Builder Award
This award recognizes the individual who, drawing upon their unique leadership skills, has shown exemplary guidance in a volunteer role, led volunteer groups, and/or have taken a lead role in finding solutions to local challenges.
This volunteer continually shows outstanding compassion in their volunteer role and has inspired others to do the same. This award brings to light the example set by the kind-heartedness and engagement that make up the fabric of the County character.
This award is given to an outstanding individual who has tirelessly dedicated their life to volunteering, inspired other volunteers and made a significant impact on the community through their exceptional achievements through volunteering.
Wellings Exceptional Youth Award
This award recognizes the exemplary contribution made by an individual under the age of 21 within our community through volunteer efforts.
AWARD SELECTION PROCESS
A panel of three local judges will review all nominations and select three finalists, and one winner for each category. Each of the three finalists in each category will be invited to attend the April 26th award luncheon at the Wellings of Picton – and their attendance will be free of charge.
The finalists and winners of each award will be chosen at the judge’s discretion based on a number of factors such as time commitment, impact, challenges that have been overcome, engagement within the community, and inspiration to others.
