If You Enjoy Being Active and Getting Involved in the Community, This Charity Hike in Picton Might Be For You
With the beautiful spring weather upon us, it’s the perfect time to get out and take a stroll through the community. This Sunday, May 7, 2017, residents of our Wellings of Picton active adult community, as well as those throughout Prince Edward County, are encouraged to take part in the sixth annual Hike for Hospice.
Hike for Hospice is a fundraising event for hospice care and family support in the community. Individuals and teams can walk, jog, or run on 2K, 5K, and 10K routes that start on Main Street in Picton. All funds raised will go towards the Hospice Prince Edward, palliative care programs in Prince Edward County, as well as grief and bereavement support services in the community for individuals and families. With the help of donations and fundraising, Hospice Prince Edward is able to provide these services at no cost.
